Rose King Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Rose Marie King, 80, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008.
Born in Henderson, N.C., she has lived in Newport News for the last 20 years. She retired as an inspector for the Dan River Cotton Mill in Danville, Va. She was also longtime member of the Virginia CB Club of Hampton and Newport News.
Rose is survived by her sister-in-law, Vera Knight; her nephews and their spouses, Danny and Anne Knight, Billy and Tammy Knight, Howard Jefferson and wife, Robin Rosen, Tim and Gina Jefferson, George and Denise Jefferson, and Clyde and Tammy Jefferson; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Rose's life will be celebrated 1p.m. Wednesday, at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions in Hampton. Family will receive friends immediately following the service.
The family wishes expressions of sympathy to take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 1132, Fairfax, VA 22038.\

Rose was a wonderful lady. I knew her thru the Va. C. B. Club. She loved the club and taking care of "her" kitchen.
