Gleanis was my home ec partner at Eaton Middle School. She was also always in my homeroom each year because our last names were close in the alphabet. She was always so sweet and kind. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

I've known Gleanis and her family since our children were small and hopped the fence behind our houses to play with each other. She loved her family dearly and I am certain that if she was able to do so, she would still be here for them. When we would talk on the phone about our kids, she always spoke of how proud she was of Baquita and Travis.

May God comfort The Maven Family during this time of loss and know that I am still on the other side of the fence if you shall ever need me.

With deepest sympathy,
Charlene (Sam and Kiara's Mom)

Warm Summer Sun

Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.

Gleanis Maven was and still is my mother. She was the most sweetest lady i knew. During my relationship with her at the end i realized that i was returning the favor. I as returning the favor of everything she did for me in my younger years. And that was basically taking care of her. Gleanis had to be taken care of the way i was when i was a baby. It was because of her health. But im glad to have returned that favor to her. How much i wish i could do it again. I told a lot to my mom. Things other people still dont know about me now. I'll miss the holidays with her but i know she better off with God right now. Love you mommy. I'll see u again

Gleanis was one of my favorite big cousin's.She would always let me come over her house and spend time with the family. She was a good woman and i will miss her greatly. We would always joke on each other and play around.I'm going to miss those good times with my big cousin Gleanis. Gleanis Maven was my mother. She was the best mother that I could ever asked for. Whenever I needed something, she would make sure that I had it. She means so much to me, no one could ever take her place in my heart. I will miss her so much, I don't know what I'm going to do without her. But I feel better knowing that she is in a better place and that there is no more pain and suffering for her. I can't believe that she's gone, I just wish that we could have spent more time together. I was hoping that she was going to start walking again and that we would finally get to spend quality time together, such as going shopping and going out to eat. It was disappointing to find out on Thursday August 21, 2008...that she had left me and that my dream wasn't going to come true, but I know that I will see her again. I realized that this year was my last year to spend mothers day with my mom, my birthday is next month and I don't have my mom...but I know that she is watching over me, every step I take I know she's right beside me. I will never forget my mother, I miss you and I love you always
