Annie Eason Obituary

SUFFOLK - Annie Mae Jacobs Eason of the 200 block of Bedford Court, Portsmouth, accepted the call of the Almighty and crossed over into the land of eternal rest and peace on Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, in the comfort of her residence surrounded by her family.
A native of Rich Square, N.C., she was daughter of the late Raymond Pittman and Cleo Jacobs and the widow of Harrison Pernell Eason. Mrs. Eason retired from Planters Peanut Company after 20 years of service. She was a member of Tabernacle International Apostolic Church, where she was Church Mother and a Missionary.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, three daughters, Delores Jones of Suffolk, Rose Mary Johnson (Robert) of Newport News, and Cleo Scott Wiggins (Darryl) of Suffolk; four sons, Henry Jacobs (Gina) of Richmond, Joseph Eason (Ruth) of Newport News, Pernell Eason (Irene) of Suffolk, and Alton Eason of Suffolk; a goddaughter, Joan Blount of Portsmouth; one sister, Clara Willoughby (Jimmy) of Greenville, N.C.; one brother, Theodore Manuel of Suffolk; 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, four sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A homegoing service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at Tabernacle Baptist Outreach Center, 3621 Nansemond Parkway, Suffolk, officiated by Apostle Arthur Barner. Interment will be in the Eason Family Cemetery, 3444 Nansemond Parkway. The family will be at the residence.
