David, Chris & Jeremy,
Though I have regretfully been out of touch this past year, I am sending my sincere heartfelt condolences. Vickie was a real tough cookie, a phenominal woman, mother & friend and has always been on my short list of those I admire. She was a woman with clear intention - if she could think it, she could do it! Greatly missed by so very many, her memory will live on in the lives she has touched. I also know she thought the sun rose with Chris and set with Jeremy and David hung the moon. May you each find peace knowing she is in heaven making her case for changing the world!

When I think of people who really made a difference in this life, I will always think of Vickie. I don't know what life would have been like when we arrived on the Peninsula had Vickie not encouraged me to start the Tot Smart group. Some of my best friends were the moms struggling as we struggled with so many unanswered questions. I will truly miss her - know that you are in my prayers.

Vickie leaves behind a legacy of service that, while unheralded and humble, leaves a gaping hole in the heart of our disability community. She also leaves behind a legacy that includes thousands of pictures of smiling people doing things they loved--another testament to her efforts. Vickie will be greatly missed, though certainly she is in Heaven right now organizing a picnic or karate class, I have no doubt.

My heart and my prayers go out to her family.
