Raymond Stouch Obituary

HAMPTON - Ret. Lt. Col. Raymond E. Stouch 79, passed away Friday Aug. 29, 2008.
A native of York, Pa., he had been a Hampton resident since 1969. Lt. Col. Stouch retired from the U.S. Army in 1972 after 26 years of military service.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Helga C. Stouch; sons and daughter-in-law, Denny and Ruth Stouch, and Lee Stouch; daughter and son-in-law, Wally and David Smith; grandchildren, Dustin Stouch, Christina Stouch, Shane Stouch, Amanda Smith, Angelina Smith, and Abreanna Smith.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday Sept. 2, 2008, in Hampton Veterans Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made the American Cancer Society.

Wally, my thoughts are with you. You may not remember me from Rainbow Girls, but I lost my father right before I met you and I know how much you will miss him. May God Bless you and your family and give you strength during this difficult time.

We remember Uncle Gene flinging open the doors at the hospital emergency room, to get to where Cathy was being tended to after her car accident in 1976. He and Helga welcomed us into their home and looked out for us during that first year of our marriage. Many wonderful visits, dinners, and talks since then. A very special person who will be remembered fondly and often.
