Little Thelma,
I want you to know my thoughts are with you and I will be praying for you in the days to come.
I also love Aunt Mary so much. I remember when she came to live with us on Applewood and I was just entering high school. I would rush home after school being so excited because I knew she was going to be there. But...
The only thing was she was begining to date Uncle Edward. (My how she loved him.) I would get home to find out she was out having a good time with him. I waited many nights for her to come back before I had to go to bed. I would go to bed so upset because she did not come home early. So I looked forward to the next day. She was with him most of the time and I did not like it. (I never told her this at the time.) She and Uncle Edward were like two peas in a pod. She stayed gone more than home. I missed her so much. When she was with us we had laughter at home instead of arguments and it felt good. Then she came in one evening and told us she was getting married. She busted my bubble. I did not let her know how my heart ached but I cried and cried for I knew she would not be coming back to live with us. My heart still aches and I never have forgotten how it felt. I loved the way she talked, giggled, smiled, and enjoyed life. She never beat around the bush at anything. When she did something, she gave it her all. She was loving and she had a way of making you feel good. I have missed her every day since the mid 1970's and it is just as strong today as it was then. I am so glad I got to see her in July.
Sally, my thoughts and prayers are with you today and tomorrow. If you need anything contact me.
