Just Rest Granny

There are so many fond memories: playing in the yard with the boys, or us girls with dolls on the front porch, and even playing school, although we dreaded doing the real thing
As pain fills our hearts and memories flood our minds
Together and with love we’ll heal within time
With the promise from God, we know we’ll see you again
And you’ll be there with Grandpa Joe Peter smiling and laughing once again
So you just rest now and have peace of mind
That grief won’t last us forever & we’ll be alright in due time
No more worries, pain, or suffering
True happiness and content must be what you’re feeling
You’ve made it to that great promise-land so don’t worry about us
We’ll make it through somehow you can surely trust
You’ve lived a long & prosperous life
And now you live on stress free, with no strife
You put up a good fight & did the best you could
It was you who loved & understood when no one else would
It was you who reassured when there was fear
Unforgettable you are and will always be held near
If you were standing before us I’m sure I wouldn’t be the only one
Saying I love you Granny and job well done
Granny you certainly deserve it so just rest
To have you in our lives we are grateful and truly blessed
Don’t you ever forget we will miss and love you into eternity
So You Just Rest Now Granny

With so much love
