Charles Williams Obituary

HAMPTON - Charles 'Charlie' Williams, 63, departed this life on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, in Hampton.
A native of Dallas, N.C., he lived in Hampton for 35 years. He retired from Nicholson Property Management as a maintenance supervisor after 25 years of service.
Charlie leaves a special friend, DiAnne Burton of Hampton; a son, Harry Golden (Yolonda) of Newport News; daughters, Katina Jones (Tim) of Hampton, Charlene Boyce of Newport News, and Sharon Williams of North Carolina; 15 grandchildren; a brother, Gorge Nance (Faith) of Baltimore, Md., a brother in-law, William Golden (Joyce) of Hampton; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A celebratory service will begin at 11a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Smith Brothers Funeral Home, Hampton, with the Pastor Arbrey Moore, officiating. Family and friends will assemble by 10:30 a.m. Tuesday for the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Newport News. A viewing will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
