I wish to express my heartfelt sympathy in your time of great sorrow. Only those who have lost a loved one can know the depth of your feelings. I have experienced the death of my parents, a child and my grandparents. I know how difficult these times can be for those left behind.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to assist you. God bless you and your family during this difficult time and know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hampton Clean City Commission staff and members were saddened to discover that Mercer has passed away. He and Irene were staunch supporters of the Commission in the 1980s and 1990s, and were always there to lend a helping hand. We will miss Mercer as much as we miss Irene. Our sympathies to the family.

Mercer III,
We are so sorry to hear of your loss and sorrow. Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you, and friends at work thinking and praying for you.

I have fond memories of seeing uncle Chris at Christmas in Morganton. He always could get a good laugh and had a kind soul. We'll miss him dearly.
