Raymond Montijo Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Raymond (Chico) Montijo passes on to his heavenly home Sept. 13, 2008.
He was born in New York March 26, 1937, to the late Augusto and Rafeala Valentine Montijo.
He is survived by his loving wife, Laurie Guthrie Montijo; his sons, Dan and Steven Montijo of Newport News, Michael (Karen) Montijo of, Texas; daughters, Ellen Frew of Richmond, Marie (John) Hundley of Hayes; grandchildren, Elena (Chris), LeSage of Clifton, Eric Frew of Newport News, Allison Frew of Richmond, John Hundley Jr., Raven Hundley, Hayes, Aubrey Leigh, Aaron, Victoria Montijo of Texas; brother; Augusto (Josie) Montijo; sisters, Loudes (Jimmy) Lopez, Lucy and ((Leonard) Rosa all of Florida, Elizabeth Morales of Puerto Rico; brother-in-law, Joseph (Jane) Guthrie, of Newport News; sisters-in-law, Mary and (Floyd) Young Gale (George) Makins, of Ariz.; numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
There will be a Memorial Service at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20, at Ashbury Wesleyan Church; 605 Harpersville Road, Newport News, Va., officiated by Pastor Gary Rich.
The family would like to give special thanks to Hampton Roads Specialty Hospital for their love and kindness.
Dad you have been a very special person and touched many hearts. We love you, Laurie, and children.

Laurie and Family. I was so sorry to hear of your lose but relieved that Chico had been released from his pain and is in a better place.
