Walter White Obituary

HAMPTON - Walter White departed this life on Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, in Hampton, Va.
He was born May 26,1935, in Norfolk, Va., to the late Junius and Goldie W. White.
After graduating from Booker T. Washington, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served honorably for four years. He later moved to Hampton, Va., and became a faithful member of Little Zion Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elaine" Puffy" White; seven sisters and six brothers.
He leaves to cherish his memory one beloved sister, Elderess Goldie M. Jackson of Chesapeake, Va.; a brother, Charlie White of Portsmouth, Va.; special nephew, Titus Jackson; "Gypsie (minuature Doberman Pincher) his beloved companion and his joy; two step-daughters, one step son, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and special neighbors.
Viewing will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel 1601-27th St. NN, VA 23607 (757) 380-0251. Funeral services will be held noon Friday at the chapel. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are to assemble at the funeral chapel by 11:30 AM on Friday.
