Mary Holloman Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Mary J. Holloman, 93, died Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at St. Francis Nursing Center, Newport News, Va.
She was born Dec. 22, 1914, in James City County to Jeff and Mary Johnson.
She was a dedicated wife, sister, aunt and friend. She was known for her generous spirit and the love of cooking. She was known for her warm hospitality.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers, and seven sisters, including her twin, Martha.
Mary leaves to treasure her memories, nieces, Eva Hollins her caregiver, Gloria M. Tyler, Wyoma Carter-Oliver, Julia Flowers, Thelma Gary, Lillie Lotts, Edith McKinley, and Thelma Green; nephews, David Morgan, Vernon Gary, Herman Jones, Harold, Clemmons, James and Alfred Johnson.
The family extends a very special thank you to the staff of St. Francis Nursing Center.
A funeral service will be held noon Monday, Sept. 29, at Shalom Baptist Church, 1111-24th St., Newport News, Va. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and two hours prior to the service at the church on Monday.
