Conrad Willis Obituary

POQUOSON - Conrad M. Willis, 82, passed away Sept. 23, 2008, at the Sentara Nursing Center in Hampton.
He was born Feb. 2, 1926, to Wilford and Rebecca Willis of Grayson County, Ky. Mr. Willis earned the Combat Infantryman Badge as a heavy machine gunner in the 66th Panther Division during World War II. He received an Aeronautical Engineer degree from the University of Kentucky, and worked at N.A.S.A. Langley Research Center for most of his career. He was a member of the Poquoson Ruritan Club, and the American Legion Poquoson Post #273.
Mr. Willis was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, James Willis.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Annie Wiseman Willis; two daughters, Lynne and husband, Dr. Henry Clemo, and Pat Willis; a sister, Frances Cooksie; and numerous nieces.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Kirkwood Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Michael T. Condrey.
