As a young child going to kindergarden in Yorktown in 1971 or thereabouts, my friends and I loved stopping at the toll and getting lollipops from Mr Hersey Hogge (as we called him). He spread such cheer and his smile I remember even now. Please accept my thoughts and prayers and those of many children who remember his smile and generosity,

I had the pleasure of being Mr. Hogge's nurse many nights at RRMC. I wish I had met him and his family under better circumstances, they are great people. We take care of many people but few leave a lasting impression as Mr. Hogge did. I want to commend his family for the love, patients, and strength they all showed. IM glad my path crossed with them all. Thinking about you all at this sad time.

I have only the fondest memories of Hersey and your family. I feel blessed for him to have been a part of my family. He lived life to the fullest. Over the years you and your family have faced alot of obstacles due to Hersey's health, and you have all done it beautifully. Hersey was and will continue to be an inspiration to my family. I hope I can face my life's challenges as gracefully as Hersey did.
