I. Rose Obituary
Mr. Rose was a native of Hampton, Va., but a resident of Ivor for 15 years. He retired from NASA after 36 years of service. Mr. Rose was a member of the Elks Lodge in Hampton and in his spare time enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Irvin S. Rose Sr.
Mr. Rose is survived by his wife of 34 years, Patricia Faye Rose; two daughters, Renae Taylor, Tonya Jeffries and her husband, Jerry, all of Newport News; one son, Michael Rose and his wife, Shannon, of Londonderry, N.H., and mother, Frances Y. Rose; one brother, Robert 'Bob' Rose and his wife, Debbie, all of Galax, Va.; and eight grandchildren; Amber, Kyle, Ashton, Brandon, Mitchell, Taylor, Rebecca and Allison.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at Peninsula Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at Peninsula Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Parklawn-Wood.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 11835 Canon Blvd., Suite A-102, Newport News, Va. 23606.
