Not sure what to say?

One of the shocks of growing older, is seeing an old friend's obituary. I first met Shirley when her Mom was so ill with Cancer, and she always made sure that any friend who came to the house was taken into her Mother's room to say hello. and to pay respects. That's the kind of thoughtful girl she was. She also had a wicked sense of humor, and had us in stitches over the silliest things. We lost touch in the 60's after my family moved away, but I always remembered her fondly. I'm saddened to...

To Bernie and Joey,
I was so sadden to hear of your Mother's death. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Your father was such an inspiration to me in my days in the Fire Dept. Both of their memories will be with me always.

I am so sorry to read of your Mom's death. When we were young, Shirley was such a nice girl, always perky, smiling, full of fun, and easy for all of us to get to know and appreciate. I regret that I haven’t seen her since we graduated from NNHS. What a loss that is! May she rest in eternal peace.

To Shirley's Family,
Shirley & I went all through high school together and we always had alot of laughs together, I will always remember her as being a good friend, I would see her in the stores sometimes thru the years and it was always like we had not missed a day talking together. I've missed seeing her the past few years. You had a wonderful sweet lady as your mother & know she will be missed by
so many. My thoughts & prayers are with you all.

Bernie and Joe:
You are in our thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories of your family from my childhood from B'Nai Israel.

shirley was one of my favorite schoolmates- she had a great sense of humor, always made me happy just to see her and her smile. my prayers are with the family god bless

Shirley and I were in many highschool classes together and I always admired her for always being so pleasant and kind with a beautiful smile. May you find comfort in knowing others care.

Bernie and Joe,
I am not sure if you remember me or not, but my grandmother (Esther Aaronson) and your mom were really good friends. My Aunt Sylvia called my mom and told her about your mom, and I just wanted to let you know that your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Shirley's death. I extend my deepest sympathy to the family at this time. I knew Shirley through our nursing school days at Riverside. I saw her some years ago at an alumni dinner and we had the best time visiting and reminiscing. She was a delightful person, joyful and loved people.
