Edward Hoy Dickerson

DICKERSON, EDWARD HOY, went to be with our Lord at Baylor Regional Hospital in Plano on April 7, 2005. Hoy graduated from Kaufman High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years and then received a B.S. degree in Mathematics from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA. During his professional career, he held positions as a technical writer at Continental Electronics, Recognition Equipment, Texas Instruments, and E-Systems. His avocation was photography. He was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School Teacher for a number of years. He is preceded in death by his father, Rev. Edward Hutchins Dickerson, and his mother Linnie Mae Patterson. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judith Dickerson; his son, Michael Hoy Dickerson; one grandson, Daniel Alexander Dickerson; one brother, John Dickerson; one sister, Anita Benson; and numerous nephews and nieces. He has touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 9:00pm on Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Sparkman-Dickey Funeral Home, Dallas, TX. Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm on Sunday, April 10, 2005 at Prestonwood Baptist Church, Chapel. Interment will follow at Plano Mutual Cemetery, Plano, TX.
