My condolences to Phil's family. We taught together at West Carrollton HS, and his sense of humor was so enjoyable.

To the Hubbard Family: My condolenses on the passing of Mr. Hubbard, I had him for history and I was in his daughter, Linda's, graduating class 1973. Good teachers are so hard to find these days, I will always remember his humor in class, I hardly ever left without at least one good laugh.

Dear Mr. Hubbard,
You were a great teacher and friend. We had a lot of good talks back in high school. You taught me a lot about history of the world and Amaerica but you also taught me about life. You will be missed. Love to your family.

To the family; I am so sad for your loss of a great man. I was so glad that he took the time to come to our 25th class reunion in October of 2005. I enjoyed visiting with him again. He sure made civics more exciting. Where else can a student receive 1000 points for a simple test!? Thank you for sharing him with us during my high school years.

In Memory of Philip M. Hubbard: It is with heavy heart and sincerest sympathy that I write these words to the family. Each one of us whose life he touched, will have their own special memory of this very special man.I know he touched my life in a way I could never repay. As a teacher, he pushed you to think for yourself, and to be the best you could be, when he spoke, you may not like what he said, but you listened! He was a father figure to me and a very good friend. He taught me to trust and believe in myself, and I will always remember, and thank him for that. I would like to say thank you for being a great teacher, mentor, "Dad", but most of all my friend. Linda and Phil: Thank you so much for sharing your father, he was the best. I love you all very much, Pam

To the family of Philip Hubbard we send you our deepest sympathy. He served our Sunday School class at Memorial Methodist Church in our early years of beginning families. We are now of his age with families grown up. He taught our children in high school and was a very dedicated teacher. God Bless all of you at this difficult time. Daryl & Shirley Garrison

Mr. Hubbard,
I graduated in 1985, you taught me American History. But you taught me more, you taught about rugged individualism, how competition breeds greatness, how we need to be judged for efforts and accomplishments, how teachers truly grade papers which is how people truly judge others. You taught me the greatness of this country is an idea that allows individuals to become great, and great men that allowed those ideas to become real. I am a different person because of who you were in your short time on earth. I hope I can touch a fraction of the lives you touched, in a similar way. I wish I said this to you last year. Thank you.

Phillip and I are deeply saddened about the passing of Mr. Hubbard. I had him for World History when I was a sophomore at West Carrollton High School. I was in the class of '67, and Phil, my husband, graduated from the "old" high school, class of '60. I also had him briefly for a Sunday school teacher at Memorial Methodist Church in West Carrollton when I was in junior high. He cared alot about the students. He was very active, I know, with current political events as they affected education. We deeply respected him as a teacher and really enjoyed his sense of humor. Thanks, Mr. Hubbard, for all you did for the students at W.C.! Sincerely, Marian H. Howard

I graduated from WCHS and although I was not a student of Mr. Hubbard's I have, on numerous occasions, heard many of his former students express their fondness and respect for him. My wife Lucy and I offer our condolences to Mr. Hubbard's family.

Power to the Teachers! Uncle Phil, You were a wonderful man, full of live and love. I will forever remember "Power to the Teachers", the Reds Baseball game, Summers in Ohio and those dimples. You lived your life full of love for your family and in return they enjoyed your sense of humor and devotion that they knew they could count on. May you rest in peace and know that you were loved and blessed to have a family that loves you.
