I am so very sorry for your great loss and am grateful to PFC Markie T. Simms for his service and sacrifice for our country! Each Saturday a group gathers in DuPont, WA to run and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Before we run, we gather in a circle and each Saturday we call Markie's name. This Saturday, it was my honor to say his name aloud. Please know that he is remembered, and you are in my thoughts.
With great care,
Cindy

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Markie will never be forgotten.
For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I'm home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I'm only a civilian
And I don't even know if it's allowed
But I salute you; allow me the honor
