I met John in September of 1999 at a mock Flight Judging session in Houston. John encouraged me to take my 72 coupe to Waco that year which I did and received a Top Flight. I had been having a problem with my windshield wipers. I told John the problem and he calmy said that the plug on the back of the switch was on backwards. I fixed the problem in 5 minutes. The next time I spent time with John was determining the PV route at Galveston for the 2000 Regional. We spent about two hours together and the entire time we talked about 72 Corvettes.
This was the kind of person that I knew as John Woods. Always sharing his knowledge with others and also encouraging people to participate in the NCRS. May god Bless you John Woods. We are all better people for having known you.

John's love for the NCRS is shared by many people, but few have contributed to the organization as much as John. He will be missed.

As you pass through life you meet few people that really leave a lasting impression on you. You consider yourself fortunate to have met them. John was one of these people. So dynamic, energetic, sincere. I could go on and on, but people that met and knew him know what I am talking about.
Buddy, we will miss you!

John was a great person, an outstanding Corvette hobbyist who dedicated himself to excellence in the Corvette hobby. John developed and promoted the NCRS quality Judging program. John also did an outstanding job as the Texas Chapter NCRS Judging Chairman. John was a credit to the Corvette hobby and a great person to know and Judge with. John you will be sorely missed by all of his Corvette colleagues.
