Karen, Scott, & Shelley,
I am deeply saddened by your loss, and my prayers are with you for comfort and strength. I shall always remember Jerry as a dedicated co-worker, a fun-loving ally after work, and mostly as a good friend. Jerry and I spoke on the telephone just a week before and had made plans to meet for breakfast to recall days gone by and trade insights as we had both recently become Parsons employees.
God Bless,
Ron T.....

Johnson Family,
During this terribly sad period I hope some comfort is gained knowing the love and respect Jerry earned throughout his life. During our years together at the Pantex Plant I had the priviledge of working with Jerry on a number of community relations activities and we spent many an hour working with the citizens advisory board. In his always thoughful and professional manner, he kept me centered when my frustration level would begin to show. He will always be remembered as "one of the good guys" on the job and in life. God Bless you all.

Jerry's family,
I have very fond memories of Jerry in high school. He was my brothers best friend. (Billy Murphree) They were always laughing and having fun. Jerry always had a smile on his face. He was friendly to everyone. He asked me to teach him to dance--we laughed so much. Then he would say "fix me up with that cute girl" He was always joking around. He was a pleasure to know and to call a friend. I am sure all of you will miss him greatlly. May his sweet memories bring a smile to your face every time you think of him.
God bless all of you.

Karen, Scott and Shelley,
We are so deeply sorry for the loss of Jerry. Our sincere condolenses for the loss of Jerry. I know he will always be in my memory. Almost every day I encounter situations that I ask myself "What would Johnson do?". He taught so many of his co-workers so much it's very hard to pick just one of his phrases to single out. Jack mentioned the horse and water but I think the one that done the most for many is "The first one that gets mad during a dispute or arguement loses, don't get mad get even". There are many more things he taught us just by being "Jerry", pride in self- job and project, professionalism in dealing with contractors, customers and people in general. We will truly miss his sense of wisdom, humor and laughter. Sliprock

Karen, Scott and Shelly-Christine and I are so sad to hear of the loss of our dear friend Jerry. We really enjoyed the short time that we had together this past year. Jerry and I had not work together before last year and I was so impressed at what a great manager and how Professional he was in his job. I could not get him to stop calling me " Sir" it was to stange, as close as friends as we are, but that was Jerry. Karen, the time that we had together the one evening for diner with Jerry, you and Scott at our house last year, will always be a special memory for Christine and I. Of course there are all the great memories of my time togeher with Jerry in our college days at Texas A&M and then with you and the kids later, that I speak of often and will never forget. Everyone here at Vickrey and Associates also sends their condolences and prayers for Jerry and the family and many friends that he leaves behind. Karen, Christine and I will see you at the services tomorrow.

Karen, Scott, Shelly, This feels more like a family lose to me than the lose of a friend. I was looking forward to seeing Jerry and all of you again in San Antonio. I fondly remember having dinner with all of you in Texarkana so many years ago. Scott, Shelly, Jerry was as proud of you as I am of my two daughters. I know in my heart that he felt that the two of you were his and Karens best accomolishments in life. I will miss him.

Karen,
So very sorry to hear of your loss. I did so admire and respect Jerry. He taught me so much during his time as my supervisor. I remember one time I was having difficult in bringing a certain person around to my way of thinking and I went to Jerry. He told me not to worry about it. "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him swim on his back and blow bubbles." I still smile when I recall that good advice. Please know that you, Shelley and Scott are in our thoughts and prayers.

Karen, Shelley, and Scott; Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. I was hoping to make the funeral, but will not be able to. Jerry was the best Supervisor I have ever had with the Corps. He stood on his good principles and was very well respected for that. He was a Supervisor and a friend that you knew you could count on. I remember when Adam was born in Texarkana he was the first one to visit and bring food. He was also there to help pack the moving van when I left Texarkana. My only confort is knowing he is in a better place and probably playing golf right now on the most beautiful golf course and making holes in one, Tiger would not even be able to compete. I know we are now distant but please let us know if you need anything. We love you all and will miss Jerry; but may God Bless You all in this trying times- keep the faith Keith

Karen, Shelley, and Scott you are in our thoughts and prayers. I was hoping to make the funeral, but I will be unable to. Jerry was the best Supervisor I have had with the Corps - he did not waiver from his principles and was very well respected because of that. He supported his employees and would stand by them in difficult times. I remember when Adam was born in Texarkana - he was the first one to visit and bring food and he was there to help load the moving van when I moved from Texarkana. My only confort is knowing he is in a better place. I'm sure he is playing alot of golf and making holes in one. Tiger can't even match his golf game now. Although we are distant let us know if you need anything and keep the faith KEITH
