Michael Fugatt Obituary

Michael Lee Fugatt

Born: April 10, 1947

Died: April 18, 2016

Michael Lee Fugatt, age 69, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 in McHenry. He was born in Sebastopol, California on April 10, 1947, the son of John L. Fugatt and Ledean (McClanahan) Fugatt.

Michael Lee Fugatt will be remembered by his family and friends as an amazing man. His strengths and values will be passed on for generations and forever be embedded in the hearts and minds of his entire family.

Michael Fugatt met his beloved wife, Catherine Fugatt, while in high school in Tucson, Arizona. They were married in 1966 and shared 50 incredible years of marriage. Two sons, Michael and Steven, were born within their first two years of marriage. Michael received an academic scholarship to the University of Arizona, where he received his BA Degree while he was working and raising two boys.

Throughout his entire life, Michael was always 100% devoted to his family. Coaching his sons in all their sports and activities- never missing a family event or special moment. His sons and grandchildren will cherish and hold in their hearts the passion and support they received from their father and grandfather.

Michael enjoyed everything involving loved ones. He enjoyed and proudly watched his children and grandchildren compete in sports. He loved golfing with family and friends, but especially enjoyed golfing with his wife Catherine. Michael and Catherine were members of the Woodstock Country Club, where they both enjoyed the time they spent with family and members. Michael enjoyed fine wine and beer. He had an appetite for a variety of different foods.

Michael absolutely loved his job with Rock Tred. There wasn?t a day that went by without mentioning how much he loved his job. The same passion and values he had for family most definitely carried over to his job where his work ethic was like no other. He loved the relationships with his co-workers and all the wonderful relationships with his contractors.

Michael will be missed, but never forgotten for the impact he had on family and friends.

?You will always be with us in our hearts and cherished memories.?

We will miss you and love you forever.

Michael is survived by his wife, Catherine, his son Michael L. Fugatt Jr., son Steven (Theresa) A. Fugatt, daughter-in-law Paula Wray, son Lloyd Vacovsky, his sister Jennie Rasmussen of Tucson, Arizona, brother John Fugatt of Oregon, sister Shirley Fugatt of Arizona and grandchildren Andrew Fugatt, Isabel Fugatt and Coral Fugatt.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Ledean (Vacovsky) Fugatt and step-father Lloyd Vacovsky.

Visitation will be Friday, April 22, 2016 from 4pm-7pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry.

I have many memories of my handsome Uncle Mike. I remember his laughter and his generosity. Some of my best childhood memories are
when my aunts, uncles and cousins would all come to Tucson for the holidays at Grandma and Lloyd's. Such great times!
Much love to you Aunt Cathy, Mike and Steve.
