GONZALEZ, LOUIS M. Louis M. Gonzalez, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014. Beloved husband of Penelope Rowland Gonzalez. Louis was born in New Haven on April 15, 1937 son of the late Luis Gonzalez and Rosa Arias Gonzalez. Also survived by L. Andrew Gonzalez, CDR Matthew T. Hart US Navy, Jeffrey Bosh and Thomas Bosh and their families. Mr. Gonzalez is a graduate of Yale University, Class of 1958 and received his Master’s degree in Public Health from Yale. Mr. Gonzalez was senior vice-president of the John D. Thompson Institute for Research, Education and Training for CT Hospice. For two decades, Louis channeled his passion for his profession for the benefit of those families who were faced with life ending experiences Louis also had a love for music that he shared through the piano, and his friends and family will always cherish that memory. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St, Guilford on Tues. Dec. 23 at 12:30pm. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd, Branford, CT 06405. Arrangements in care of the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford. ROSSITER, EILEEN HANSEN In Guilford House Nursing Center, Wednesday, December 17, 2014, Eileen Hansen Rossiter, 93, a longtime resident of North Guilford. Wife of the late Daniel Leland Rossiter. Eileen was born on November 9, 1921, daughter of the late Hans and Anna Mattson Hansen. Loving mother of Daniel L. (Sharon) Rossiter Jr, Nancy (Richard) Belekewicz, Susan (George) Curtin and Joan Rossiter. Also survived by six grandchildren, Gregory (Mira) Belekewicz, Geoffrey (Carrie) Belekewicz, Brandon (Myriah) Belekewicz, Chelsea (Harold) Nohle, Timothy Rossiter, Stephen Grabowski and eleven great grandchildren. Predeceased by her brother Raymond Hansen. Eileen was a very active community volunteer. She started at SARAH as a volunteer and became one of their first directors and teacher. She was also one of the first Meals on Wheels volunteer, a longtime member of North Guilford Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, North Guilford Congregational Church Ladies’ Aide, King’s Daughters along with volunteering for the Registrar of Voters. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 22 at 11am in the North Guilford Congregational Church, 159 Ledge Hill Rd, Guilford. Burial will follow in North Guilford Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, December 21 from 2 to 5pm at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Guilford Congregational Church, 159 Ledge Hill Rd, Guilford, CT 06437 or Guilford Agricultural Society, PO Box 290, Guilford, CT 06437.
