EDWIN H. GOLDBERGER

Edwin H. Goldberger, Esq., age 84; former Quiz Kid and Senior Partner in the prestigious law firm of D'ancona & Pflaum for over 40 years. After a 35 year heroic battle with Parkinson's disease, he succumbed to it's ravages on the 7th night of Chanukkah, December 14, 2012. He was the loving husband for 30 years of Miriam R. Schencker Goldberger, nee Bern, and the late Sondra, nee Cogan, Goldberger. He was also a devoted father to James (Sheryl), John (Dawn), and Jeremy (Leslie) Goldberger. He was the proud stepfather of Eliot G. (Beth) Schencker, Esq., and Deena Schencker (Dr. Gene Walchirk) and loving grandfather of Justin, Carolyn, Jack, and Tess Goldberger, and Nicole Samantha Walchirk, and Sadie Bea, Ari David, and Noah Reuben Schencker. He was also very proud to have been Jewishly mentored by his late in-laws Ruth and David S. Bern, Esq. Services will be Sunday, December 16, 2012, 2 PM at the Westlawn Cemetery Chapel, 7801 W. Montrose Avenue, Norridge. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to either the Illinois Holocaust Memorial Museum Center in Skokie, IL, or, the United States Holocaust Memorial & Education Center of Washington, DC with offices in Highland Park, or to the J.U.F. of Chicago, IL.
