Eleanor Madras Obituary
She was born January 1, 1926 in Erie, PA the daughter of the late Walter Kwitowski and Pearl Kinecki Kwitowski. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Leprechauns and the adult choir.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Raymond J. Madras; a son, Raymond W. Madras; great-grandson, Michael Brutcher; two brothers and a sister.
Eleanor is survived by three children, Karen Bryant (Jim), John (Janet) Madras and Marisa Zoeller (Bill) all of Louisville; eight grandchildren, Emily Bryant Brutcher, Matthew (Allison) Bryant, Raymond John Madras, Justin Bryant, Christopher (Lacey) Madras, Allison Madras and Lauren Zoeller and Benjamin Zoeller and three great-grandchildren, Madison Spaulding and Dylan and Tyler Brutcher.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1000 N. Beckley Station Road with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Pearson Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road.
Memorial gifts in the form of contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church stained glass window fund or Hosparus.

Dear Madras Family,
I was deeply saddenned to read about the loss of your mother, Eleanor, and to read about the earlier loss of your father as well. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. May they both rest in peace. I will always remember their visit to the Subotnik home in the company of Genia and Stanley. We were blessed to have them as the unexpected Christmas guests for our Wigilia celebration.
