Born June 28, 1962, in Princeton, N.J., she was the daughter of Dr. Stuart Stritzler-Levine and the late Pamela Winslow King Levine.
Jessica grew up on the Bard College campus, where her father taught and now is dean emeritus. She attended nearby Red Hook High School and graduated with honors from Bard College in 1984 with a degree in studio arts. She also studied studio arts at Hunter College of the City University of New York.
Jessica was an abstract expressionist whose paintings are exhibited in San Francisco and throughout Marin County, Calif. She owned Jessica Lord Design, which created commissioned fine and commercial art, in addition to faux finishing.
Jessica lived for many years in Marin County, moving in November 2009 to northern Michigan, where she had spent most of her childhood summers with her family at Chicago Club of Charlevoix.
In addition to her art, Jessica was an avid sailor who raced in the Melges 24 class. In 2000, she was named Yachtswoman of the Year by the St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco.
Survivors include her father and stepmother, Nina Stritzler-Levine of Annandale-on-Hudson and Manhattan; her sister, Jennifer Levine and brother-in-law, Joe Fudali of Dana Point, Calif.; her half-sister, Alyssa Avery Stritzler-Levine of Manhattan; one niece and one nephew; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services and a casual celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, at Ward Manor on the Bard College campus, Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y. Inurnment will be later this year in Michigan.

We met but briefly in Traverse City. Jessica was a warm, fun, artistic and tireless friend. Full of great ideas. I can't believe she's gone.

I'm consumed with many wonderful memories of the good times we shared working the Big Boat regatta for all those years ... You will be missed, Jessica ... May you rest in peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I knew Jessica through all my years working at the Chicago Club office. She loved it in Northern Michigan. She loved spending time at the Chicago Club. She was happy to spend her time enjoying the beauty of the lake.
