RICHARD A. ALTMAN

ALTMAN, RICHARD A. 82 - of Ventnor/Galloway, passed away Sunday, November 7th, before the Eagles game at A.R.M.C. - Mainland Division. Dick was born on August 2, 1928 to Joseph and Lillian (Kornblau) Altman of Atlantic City. Being the Mayor's son, he was known as the First Kid of Atlantic City. He was educated in the Atlantic City School system and graduated from A.C.H.S. in 1946. He earned his college degree from Villanova College and then attended Dickinson Law School. After college, he served in the U.S. Armed Forces during the Korean War. He returned to Atlantic City and began his 55+ years career as the leading Public Adjustor, Altman and Altman, Inc. Dick loved life to the fullest. He pursued his goals whether it was in his business or for pleasure. We will always celebrate his individuality and the unique perspective that only he brought to the world and his unending jokes. He is predeceased by his parents, Mayor Joseph and Lillian Altman. Dick is survived by his loving family; Lois Shohen-Brown, his life companion; son, Joseph Altman of Somers Point; daughter Donna Altman of Ohio; step-daughter, Colleen Donaghy of Brigantine; granddaughter, Elizabeth Rossetti and extended family, Donna Senoff Nehmad of Linwood and Amanda Senoff of Ventnor. Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial services on Wednesday, November 10th, at 2pm, at Congregation Beth Judah, 700 N. Swarthmore Avenue in Ventnor, NJ.
