Joseph Ditsche, Jr., age 51, passed on October 4, 2021 surrounded by family and friends. He was the loving husband of Donna, and they shared 20 memorable years together. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Joseph Ditsche Sr. and Louise Ann Ditsche (Welsh). He remained a proud resident of Philadelphia, and he was the epitome of brotherly love. Joe was an extraordinary friend and neighbor, he left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was known for his kind, genuine heart, welcoming everyone with open arms. He was also a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend; because for him family was everything. Joe was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, but his true loyalty lied with the Philadelphia Eagles. He was a proud season ticket holder since 1992, and his devotion paid off with his numerous fantasy football championship winnings. Joe took pride in sharing his passion for The Rolling Stones, and Rock & Roll with his loved ones. Joe attended countless concerts in his lifetime, some of his favorites being The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, and Tom Petty. One of his favorite parts about attending sporting events and concerts was tailgating with good food, good music, and great company. Joe's hobbies also included attending all the new Marvel and Star Wars movies, and collecting memorabilia. He also loved to celebrate his German heritage at the annual Cannstatter's Volkfest German Festival with his family and friends! Joe is survived by his wife Donna Michelle Ditsche, his father Joseph Ditsche Sr, and mother in law June Ann Hayes. He is survived by his siblings Angela Marie Cramer, Francis Henry Ditsche Sr (Victoria), and Mary Louise Fitzcharles (Michael), also brother in law Brian Keith Hayes (Paula). Joe has 6 nieces and nephews whom he adored, Jimmy, Keith, Alexa, Frankie, Alexandria, and Louise. He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, godchildren, and a myriad of very special friends. Joseph was preceded in death by his mother Louise Ann Ditsche (Welsh), his paternal grandparents Charles Joseph Ditsche and Mary Elizabeth Ditsche (Banach), also maternal grandparents Francis Xavier Welsh and Mary Susan Welsh (Votoupal). He was also predeceased by his father in law Clarence Henry Hayes. Friends and family are invited to his viewing on Saturday October 16th from 10 AM to 12 noon at the Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home 2614 Orthodox Street. His funeral service will begin at 12 noon and his interment will be held privately. Please share your fondest memories of Joe atSlabinskiFuneralHome.com

Joey, I cannot believe you are actually gone. We were cousins, but being the same age, we grew up as part of the "rat pack".
How ironic that a guy with such a huge heart could leave us so soon, due to heart issues. You held so much love in your heart for Donna, your family & friends. You lit up the room. We will ache here, but we also know you are at peace with your Mom, Father in law, Grandparents, and everyone else that went before you. Love you! 10-4, good buddy!

I don't think you ever really knew how much you meant to the people in your life. Just mentioning your name brings a big smile to everyone's face and the countless memories of you begin to flood over. A lifetime of memories but they are not enough. Joey. There really is not one thing that won't remind us of you. Nearly every aspect of life. Sports, movies, parties, good food and drink, all the laughter and especially music. All the music! Music is a world within itself with a language we all understand - I know Joe would know what song that was from.
A smile relieves a heart that grieves
Remember what I said .I'm just waiting on a friend❤
Ditsche, there will be fireworks
Till we meet again

Joe you will be missed by so many but loving your memory will live on throughout all our lives. We will always reflect back having been in your company with joy and laughter. The photo chosen for this memorial could not be any better the example of who you were. It saddens me further that I can't attend your services but my thoughts and prayers remain with Donna and your families. God Bless
