Hello,

We wanted you to know that we will be honoring and remembering your loved one this holiday season. We are sending Care Packages to our deployed troops in his name. Each package will carry the name, photo, service branch, rank and hometown of Eric P. Pearrow US Army Sergeant 1st Class.

We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families, friends and many others who support our mission.

My name is SFC Leonardo S. Pesta. I was part of Eric's Tank Crew during Operation Desert Storm, 1990-91 and was very fond of him. He was an awesome Gunner, NCO, and friend. I just recently was told of his death and I am deeply hurt and not to mention shocked.

I served with Eric in Germany and during D.S. with 4/66 Ar. He was an awesome person and I'm glad I got to spend some time with him in this world.

I'm sure they don't have internet in the good Heaven in the sky. Ya'll are too busy enjoying eternal peace without disruption. I'm then PVT. now SSG Joseph Carson of then B 2/81 AR now of 1/64 AR of Ft. Stewart. I know you always stressed that our training would save our own lives and I did everything just like you taught us to during my tours in Iraq. I just hate that my mentor had to meet the ultimate demise. ARMY STRONG ALWAYS. HELLHOUNDS. B 2/81, 4th Platoon. GODSPEED!

We want to say thank you. We understand that no words can be adequate for your sorrow. We certainly do not want to intrude upon your privacy. As Americans we want you to know that we deeply appreciate the ultimate sacrifice your loved one has made for all of us. We also would like for you to be aware that with this letter comes our special concern and prayers for you. We are all safer because young men and women who love their country, and know the value of a free nation, are willing to put themselves in harms way, and lay down their lives to keep this nation free and safe for all of us.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Pearrow family. SFC Pearrow was my Drill Seargent at FT Knox during 9/11. I myself just returned from Iraq a month ago. He is a true American hero. Rest in Peace Drill Seargent.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

To all, Thanks to everyone who cared about my father, whether you knew him or not. He will always be missed. I'm very proud of him and when his grandson is born I can tell him that his grandpa was a hero.

I am Deeply saddened to learn of the loss of Sgt. 1st Class Eric P. Pearrow, one year ago today.
The price this Fine Soldier and his family have paid for this country and for freedom, WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

To the Pearrow's. Today (Saturday January 28) while I was at Arlington National Cemetery visiting two other fallen heroes I stopped and spent some time at Eric's burial place. I prayed for him and for each of you.

I just heard about Eric Pearrow. I was very saddened to hear that on a day when I was giving thanks for all the things I have, he was giving his life to make sure that I have all of these things to be grateful for. So now im giving thanks to him. I never knew him even though he was one of my cousins, but I am proud and thankful for him, and I know from what ive heard about him exactly where he is right now, and hopefully I will get to meet him someday. But for now, thanks Eric P Pearrow.

My heartfelt sympathy to all who loved my friend Eric, with whom I shared many happy hours chatting prior losing touch last year. I only knew him by the sound of his voice as I live in the UK, but he leaves me with a legacy of happy and persistant memories, a most precious thing in our busy and often tradgic world.

Hey my brother, had to share this picture with the world when we were at Bristol Tn Nascar Races in 2002. Love you so much Eric and will always miss you. I felt like you were with me at a point last night after the memorial service here in East Peoria, walking through that door from the snowy street like a fresh breath of air, just like old times Eric. Don't be a stranger, your always welcome to visit anytime...............

Jan, I remember Eric as the loving son, gung ho young man who was going soldiering. I am in awe of the man he became, honored to have had him in my life as a friend, and thankful for his willingness to go and fight for our freedoms. My heart is with you, Ed and the "kids" at this tragic time.

I lost my best friend, my brother, one of my family members. He was a close friend of mine and will be missed forever. When we lost him he was where he wanted to be and loved, the US Army and tanks. I am really lost now, so many plans we had to do this summer coming, so many things now lost forever, God Bless you ERIC...............!

My heartfelt sympathies go out to Eric's family. I lost my nephew in July in Baghdad. He was also a member of Maddog, but from 1st platoon. I wish there was something I could say or do that would make this easier for his family, but there isn't. Please know that there are those out there that understand your total sense of loss. Again, I am truly sorry and I pray each day that our troops will soon be home safe with their families, but for some...it is too late. My prayers are with you.
