Julio E. Negron Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 3, 2005.
Julio E. Negron was the youngest of three brothers. With both older siblings in the military, there was really no doubt what career path young Julio would take. "I took care of my brothers and they didn't have too much of a choice with me," said oldest brother Jose Negron. "At home, the rule was either get a good education to make a career or join the military. Julio Negron, 28, of Pompano Beach, Fla., died Feb. 28 when his Humvee crashed in Beiji. He was stationed at Fort Carson. "His biggest joy was to be soldier, wearing the U.S. Army uniform next to his brothers," said Jose. Julio Negron lived with his sister in Maryland until he graduated from high school, then moved to Florida to live with his brothers. He was a tough kid who loved physical activity, playing football and wrestling in high school. "He drove my sister crazy growing up with her, but she loved raising him. He loved to make people laugh, and he always had a way of coming around giving her a kiss or a hug and calming her down," his brother recalled. He also is survived by his parents, Jose and Teresa.

Tito,
Yesterday marked 5 yrs since you ended your mission here on earth. People say that we should move on and it's no big deal. Well easy to say when those people have never had a life taken from them. Hope you are resting in peace. Love you more than I words can say and miss you even more.
I am so happy and proud of you, I see in other peoples messages how you touched their lives.

Whenever I find it hard to do something and feel like quitting, you always flash through my mind, and I think, "He isnt here to complain about doing it", and it gives me strength to continue on, you are my motivation brother, I always think back to the days in Kosovo when we were at the firing point on the border and we had the video camera out. Its been a long time since we've talked, but you are always on my mind man helping me down the right path, of all the people that had to be taken,,,,, I was in iraq when I found out, and it messed me up for weeks,,, it still bothers me to this day when i start thinking about it,, for your family, I hope they know that you were loved by many, and truly will never be forgotten,,, love ya man,,

TITO,
Man, I am back in Iraq working as a DOD contractor, and you flash through my thought pattern when i see these convoys going and coming throughout the base. I know your in a better place, some day we all will be there. You just keep doing what you have been doing all before and that's keeping them all up their laughing throughout Heaven. I have seen a few of the old crew back over here again from the 360th TC on their third and fourth tour of duty. Just wanted to chat with you and know that you and your family are in my prayers.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

Hi Tito,
As I read the lovely notes, wishes and prayers that family, friends and strangers leave for you I realize that I (we) are not the only ones that miss you and thank you for your ultimate price. The holiday's are near and it is not easy for me and the kids. We know how much you loved Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas. You always made us laugh. I miss your laughter and hugs and I know that there are alot of families feeling just like me missing their loved one.
I pray that God gives us the strength to keep on going and hope that someday all the deaths and injuries will stop due to this war. No one knows the pain but those who like myself are missing a part of themselves.
God Bless America...Mosst of all God Bless our Troops.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

I met Tito about a year ago and saw him for the last time right before he left in December. The one thing I respected about him was that he worked hard for everything he had and was a very honorable man. I just want to give my condolences to his family and his friends on behalf of all of the people in Colorado whose lives he touched in the short time he graced our presence. May he rest in peace and he will be missed.

March 8, 2005

My deepest and most heart felt sympathies go out to the Negron family and to all who knew and served with this fine soldier. I had the privilege of serving with Sergeant Negron in Baumholder, Germany as his battery commander in Service Battery, 4th Battalion, 27th Field Artillery. I can still see his smile and hear his laughter. He was usually at the center of whatever was going on. If there were soldiers laughing, there was (then) Specialist Negron. He was always instigating something, but when it came time to get the job done, he made it happen. I’m not sure that I can give a higher compliment than one that soldiers give each other when they talk about each other to their commander and they say simply, “He’s squared away, sir.” I can’t tell you how often I heard that from his fellow soldiers and his leaders. He will be sorely missed, but perhaps there is comfort in knowing what a positive effect he had on so many people’s lives.

Regretfully,

MAJ Chris Hanna

My name is Sgt Heather Poole. I served in the same company and platoon in Iraq with Julio. He was the clown in the company. He put smiles and laughter on anyone who needed it. There was one time in Kuwait where he pretended he was a Haji and set up a market with everyones gear. He played the part good and made everyone laugh. He was also our big teddy bear. He listened to people and was a helping hand. We will miss him greatly. We love you Sgt Julio "Tito" Negron.
