John Joseph Florio (FDNY)
We are very proud of what you were trying to do at that day, and what you have addopted your life for. You will never be missed, forever. Rest in peace, and God bless.
Dear John,
What words can express your loss? Sadness, sorrow, sympathy, hero and Angel come to mind. I never met you, but anyone who is a Metallica Fan is alright with me!
I also know it takes a special kind of man to be a firefighter and it takes a hero to put his life on the line everyday for people they don't even know.
I also believe it takes an Angel to be with God and I know that is where you are celebrating Christmas this year!
God Bless you, John and may your loved ones find comfort from the thoughts and prayers of people from all over the world!
Dear John,Shari,Micheal and Kylie,
I recieved a Christmas gift from a friend today, it was a memorial wrist band with Johns name on it. I am also a Firefighter who listens to loud Rock n Roll especially when I pump iron. It is my honor and privilege to keep your memory alive. You'r memory will continue to answer the call every time I get toned out.
God Bless you, my fallen brother, he has already blessed your family with a hero who was a husband and father.
We are very sorry for your loss of John. We thank him tremendously for all he did for others as a firefighter. Such a profession comes with a brave, warm and caring heart. May John's courage, life and love (including Metallicia music) live on in those who love him. May the sorrow in your hearts be lightened by the golden memories of times shared with John. Our hearts cry with you.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

Dear Shari,Michael and Kylie,
I have been wearing John's Mercy Band for a couple of months now. Not a day goes by that the three of you aren't in my thoughts, prayers and heart. I am so sorry that you have lost your husband and father, and nothing we say can take fill the emptiness, but I want all of you to know that John will never be forgotten and you will always be in my prayers. May our merfciful Father watch over you. God Bless you and keep you.
