I met John when he was a talk show host on tv 10 . I was a guest on a show . From there we aquired a friendship that lasted over 20 some odd years . I had a oppourtunity to see him one last time in 2006 he lived on the hillsborough river in a charming home with a precious dog . I am so saddened he was too tired to finish a book that he wanted so bad to release due to his love affair with tobacco Alot could have appreciated that Book .He was a brilliant Man whom I will cherish forever . I was privileged to have done a few shows with John Eastman. He was always kind, intelligent and fun to work with.

I had the privilege and pleasure of working with John two times -- at WDAE in 1976 and at WPLP in 1979. We shared a lot of laughs on the job and away from it. He was a joy to be with, a joy to know.

I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Eastman for many years. He will be truly missed. My condolences to his family.
