My sincere sympathy to the Caffarello family for their loss. I grew up on the same street and went to school with the family.
Sorry to hear about Sal's passing.
I used to work for Sal back in 2003 to 2005 at Luke Air Force base when he was TCH's (The Center For Habilitation) head manager of their LAFB section. I always liked him, even when he was tough. I just found out today (9-3-2009) that he passed away. My condolences to the band and his family.

Sal, you were such a blessing to everyone who came in contact with you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge of music, life and teaching me to play the blues. The time i got to spend with you will never be forgotten.
I only met Sal once...a few weeks before he died. I loved him from the minute I met him. He reminded me of my late brother in law Dominic Palumbo. He also worked in a field that I volunteered in. Sal was a warm soul and I was so saddened to hear of his passing. Albeit brief, I am glad our paths had crossed. Rest in Peace Sal.
