"The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break, it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these, you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry."

I am so sorry for your loss. What a wonderful tribute to a young man. I do not know you but I was reading your book about letting go of Adult Children and found this tribute. God bless. LaJuana

Happy Birthday You Rage-er
Let the Party Roll as we celebrate this day of having known you for 21 years. The Wild and Beautiful inspiration and memories you have given us keep our eyes shining and smiles on our faces.
We feel you within the masses of the eternal ageless youth at concerts, in the thrill and ecstasy of riding the rivers pulsing currents, in the boundless high of a surfer catching a good wave, in the precision and energy of a flying freestyle disk sailing above the beach sand, in the beauty of a descending sunset, in the dancing flames of a bonfire, in the upbeat good cheer of laughter and song
Dear Eli, you are gone from our sight but with us in spirit. Thank you for your lessons of seeking the moment.
We cherish having been blessed with your presence
A Toast to You
Your loving family and friends
"Eli, Eli
I pray that it never will end.
The sand and the sea
and the waves breaking and sighing
and high over the water
the wind blowing free.
The lightning and rain and the darkness descending
and ever and ever the nature of man."

I don't even know what to say. I've known Eli since I was 8. All of us kids hung out together when we were little. The last time I saw him was in Arcata, and it was just a chance meeting. I hadn't seen him in so long, like 7 years, and there he was. It's great talking to a friend you haven't seen in forever, he had grown up so much. He was a man now, not the kid I remembered from Bridgeville school. We hugged and talked for a few minutes, told each other we should hang out soon, and then he was gone. I'm glad I didn't know that was the last time I was going to see him. I would've been too sad. Eli was such an awesome person. He gave me and my brother Jeffrey lots of crazy memories, and we still miss him.
