So sad to hear of Margaret's death. I was a huge fan of The Family and had a special soft spot for Margaret as she reminded me so much of my own mum. Thank you so much Margaret for sharing your life and your family with the nation. Your bravery changed television for ever. I'll never forget you. God bless, Margaret.

Dearest Margaret. The loveliest woman I never met. We were 'pen Friends'for 24 years . My sympathy to the family. Margaret was full of insight, and I will miss her letters. More recently, I will miss long chats on the phone. How I wish that we could have met. We were always too busy. She was the one woman in the world who understood my family loyalties. RIP Margaret.

' Wait for tomorrow'

You were taken from us, a lifetime so soon but the sun still came up and with night came the moon.
We questioned how they could with not you to meet, then with hearts full of woe we looked to our feet. For what they had said to us, we should have in ourselves known, for a spirit so strong has been in each living thing sown. They said with each breath you intake and each one you exhale, in the mornings dew and with the nights darkened vale. In your families that grieve and with people that don't, in the hearts filled with acceptance and even thoughs that won't, most of all in your memories of family and friends, in the stories that will pass to and from each one of them. So yes its difficult to rise with all of the sorrow but tomorrow brings greater reason to and for the same reason the stars follow. So even though we don't accept your gone and for now happiness is borrowed, we'll just say goodnight Nanny and we'll wait for tomorrow.

Dearest Heather & Family, I am really sorry for your loss!! I want to leave you with a prayer I recite every minute something good & bad happens around me:
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference. My thoughts are with you at this sad time.

To Nan

If tears could build a stairway
And memories were a lane
We would walk right up to Heaven
And bring you back again

No farewell words were spoken
No time to say goodbye
You were gone before we knew it
And only God knows why

Our hearts still ache in sadness
And secret tears still flow
What it meant to lose you
No one will ever know

But now we know you want us
To mourn for you no more
To remember all the happy times
Life still has much in store

Since you'll never be forgotten
We pledge to you today
A hallowed place
within our hearts
Is where you'll always stay

Love you always
Paul
