It's hard to find words to express how I feel. I am thankful the lord let you stay with us as long as you did and you were able to meet your great grandchildren. I could see the excitement in your eyes when my children were born. Thank you for all the wonderful times we shared. Some of my most memorable childhood memories were with you. You took us camping, taught us how to fish, watched us play baseball, let us ride your lawnmowers, and took us to the beach. You were always there for us in everything we did or needed. We looked up to you and you led by example. You never gave up on any of us and I thank you for that. I know you are proud of us and up in heaven with Grandmamma looking down on all of us. May you rest in peace and know that you will be forever in our hearts. We love and miss you.

I will always cherish the fun memories we had together. I will forever miss you. You spent so much time with us grand kids and taught us so much. I would not be the man I am today if it wasn't for you. I love you with all my heart.

Charles (Granddaddy) was such a sweet and loving man. He spent time with his family and loved everyone so much. We will never run out of memories of the times and places we laughed and enjoyed with him. He was a Christian and loved the Lord. We know he is in heaven. He loved fishing and camping. He took us on his boat more times than any of us could count. He loved his wife Mary and his sisters Marguerite Branch and Tillie Merwin very much. He enjoyed his family and gave us all a great man to lookup to. Everytime we see a lake, or river, or ocean, we will smile and remember how much he made our lives better. He drove hours to go to ballgames of his grandchildren Brooke, Wes and Cory for years. It's memories that make our lives richer. Granddaddy made us feel special, each and everyone in his own special way. God blessed this earth when he was born! We will miss him sooo much. We will share our happy experiences of Granddaddy with his great grandchildren Mason, Vincent, Morgan and Esten. We will thank Granddaddy and remember him for the rest of our lives for being the fantastic man, husband, father, brother, father-n-law, and granddaddy he was. He was such an easy person to love because he always put others before himself. His son Chuck, and his wife Diane, took such good care of him and Grandmama. We thank God that Granddaddy was with them when God called him home. We know Granddaddy lived a long life. We thank God for giving such a wonderful and loving man to all of us. We have been blessed. Grandaddy....save a few fish in heaven for us. We will see you again one day! We love you!
