Charles Gordon McLaughlin
We were so saddened to hear of Chuck's passing. It was always a treat to go to our town meetings and listen to him as he stood up for a local cause which he believed strongly. My dad, Robert Pickett, would also get up to debate Chuck and we saw the work of a Republic first hand while listening to them debate or to agree on the business of North Berwick. I didn't know that he was an officer in the U.S. Navy, I also am a Navy man, but just an enlisted one. Thank you for his service to our country. I saw Chuck a few years ago at a dance in Springvale with the Straight Lace playing the music. He was dancing up a storm then and we spoke a little while about the "old days" in good ole N.B. He was so full of life then as always. We will not see his like again in this life. But we'll all rejoice in Paradise and be young and happy once more forever. See you later, my friend.
