Family. Thanks for the call, Doug. Kay & I were sorry to hear of Chic's passing. He was a great dad to you all and I know will be missed. I immediatelly remembered all the good neighborhood fun with you all. The block parties, family interactions and going to dinner often with other couples from Deer Creek Road. It was always a competition between Kay and Chic to see who could get the greenest lawn. I remember when Chic and I built our own storm drain between our properties. He was such a great guy to have as a next door neighbor. I also often think of our handball games at a downton gym where he had a membership. I still play some raquetball and think of those old days. The Phrase "Chic N Gerry" was used a lot around our house. When we had "Brent Denny" , the young Navajo Indian boy staying with us he was confused at first by that saying and thought we were referring to Chic but that his name was Jerry. Like, "Chicken Jerry". Above all, your dad was a class act and could always be counted on to help out and be there when needed. All the best to you all and know that we will cherish the memories of a special friend.
Dad just heard tonight that your dad passed away, he is so very sad, they have been neighbors for 43 years, he will be missed. He didn't know until Joann told him or he would have been at the funeral, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your brothers
