Mom,
How can I say goodbye to the most gracious, loving person I have ever met? It is so hard, although I am so happy for you to be with Dad and all our family who have gone before you. You have waited a long time for this. It was my honor to sit with you on your last day and hold your hand, reading to you and loving you with all my heart. My life has been so blessed having you and Dad to guide and love me, without judgment, throughout my whole life. I remember your kind, sweet speaking voice, your beautiful soprano singing voice, your easy laugh, your many talents in all kinds of crafts, but most of all your thoughtfulness and compassion for others and your incredible love for all living things whether human, plant or animal. Your parents and siblings have had such a strong influence in my life, I can't say how grateful I am for them. Thank you for teaching me all the crafts you loved so much. Your garden brought so much joy to all who experienced it. I will honor you with my garden, Mom. My childhood growing up on the farm was such a gift. I am so thankful for all the chores we had to do and all the lessons we learned about life and the gifts we were given because of the farm life. Hard work never hurt anyone, and you and Dad showed us how it was done. Because of your wide appreciation for all music, including your piano playing, I, too, love all kinds and I will think of you whenever I play music whether I am listening or playing it myself. Your strength, grace and appreciation for life has been remarkable, even with all our tragedies and losses in our family. You showed us what is truly important in life. Thank you for teaching me about God. You lived His teachings. Your example will live on in me as well. Thank you for everything, Mom. I will continue to try to make you proud of me. I wish you peace, Mom. I will love you forever. See you soon. Love, Linda

Aunt Dolly,
Although today you were gently laid to rest, I am continuing to feel your presence in my life ...I will love you forever. Until we meet again!
To your family -- there are no words I can add to your vivid memories of this gentle soul...beautiful woman...loving mother...doting grandmother...precious aunt. I truly understand the loss you feel. You had the extraordinary privilege of sharing your daily lives side by side with her -- and know firsthand the depth of her love. I envy you that....and send my love and wish you peace. ~D
