I regret not sending Elaine a note at her husband's passing. Elaine always made me feel good, she had infectious energy, a big smile, and such warmth. I'll miss bumping into her around town. Last time we spoke, I walked her to her car in a terrible snow storm. Her husband joked with me about "going after his gal" as she was clutching my arm. Nice people, I'll cary a bit of them with me. Peace.
Elaine was a joy to know. She always had a quick smile and such an endearing laugh. She was such a blessing to our community. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
The first League of Women Voters meeting I attended after moving to West Lafayette in 1971 was at your lovely home where I was welcomed so cordially by Elaine. She was a community treasure and will be missed by so many, but special condolences to all of you who are her beloved family.
Jan, I am so sorry to hear that your mother has passed. I'm thinking that now she and your dad are together again. May they both rest in peace.
Dear Girls, I was so very sorry to learn of your mother's passing. I send my sincere sympathy and love to the 3 of you. I will be on a plane to Arizona and Dad will be in Indy or we would see you.
