So long, Greg.
We are/were weird men in a weird world.
I regret deeply the loss of your wonderful contribution to that weirdness, and may every joy be surpassed and every torturing misery this place can put on a man be left behind you.
I'm truly going to miss our conversations, both good and bad.
Sleep well, my friend.
I was sorry to learn that Greg had passed away. He was very active in town and I saw him at countless numbers of Athens City Council meetings and other meetings over the years. I am sorry for your loss.
I met Greg in 1978. He and a few others crashed on our living room floor in Columbus Ohio when we hosted visitors who were involved with FORC, Federation of Ohio River Co-ops for an annual working/meeting. We reconnected in Athens in the 1980's and on several occasions he reminded me of those younger days. Greg was a good soul, a sweet person, quirky and fun, and an activist in many ways! I will remember him fondly tripping around town in his little green MGB or Mitsubishi convertible :) It is good to know he passed over peacefully in his sleep, may we all be so blessed.
Greg was an important and committed community member. I will miss him.
