It's been over 8 months since you've gone, I never knew that anyone could be so lonely. It's scary how fast the days have gone by, but hardly a day goes by that I haven't shed a tear. I come see your grave at least once a month. So many things have happened since you've been gone, and all I can do is wish you were here. The holidays are coming, and rumors of another hard winter, I dread them both. One thing has not changed, and that is how much I love you and will always love you. Until we are together again.

Tomorrow is my birthday and I remember how you would sneak around and try to hide the fact that you were up to something. You would either bake a cake or bring me a funny card or we would go out together.
In a week is our 29th wedding anniversary. We started out rough with nothing but a couple of cars between us, but we managed because we had each other. Our family grew, and is continuing to grow with you watching over us as our guardian angel.
Mother's Day is the day after our wedding anniversary this year. I remember our first Mother's Day. Dayne wasn't even born and the Freezer Fresh had a special going on that if you could prove you were a mom, you got something free. You took both my mom and I and you bought your lunch and we had a nice afternoon together.
I love you with all my heart and soul, and I can't wait until we are together again to recall old times together. When next we meet.

Grover was always kind hearted, I remember our first wedding anniversary. It was the same as my prom. We went to the prom at the high school in our 1967 Chevy Impala. He was never one to enjoy dancing, but he had compassion for one of my friends that was not popular. He asked me if I would mind because he saw that she seemed to be sad and not having a good evening. I told him that I thought that would be nice. He asked her to dance one slow dance and she excepted. She walked off the dance floor with a smile on her face and she enjoyed the rest of the evening, and I was so proud that he was mine. Grover always tried to make people feel better about themselves.

Grover came to work for the Winamac Subdistrict at the Rochester Unit. After his orientation in LaPorte he came into the Winamac office and introduced himself. When I told him that I knew you through meetings we had both attended, he talked about you and said such kind things. It was easy to see his love and admiration for you. At other times when our paths would cross he was so kind and always had a smile. He was a sweet man and I know he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

I did not know Grover, but want you to know that I have you and your family in my thoughts and prayers and hope that the light of all the beautiful memories with your husband will give you the strength to carry on and live a life he wants you to live.
