As a great nephew she was at every event that I can remember from the time I was a little boy and most of the time she drove herself. My mom was just out visiting and I had asked how she was and how she was getting around, she said she still walks up the stairs to her room every night. I was impressed and thought to myself if you want to live a long time you need to keep busy and that is what she did. You made your way home Great Aunt Helena, we will meet again. Love from the Arizona Egan's
For many years while driving past the Dirig home, I always admired Helena's garden. I saw her working there this summer, also waved to her when she was sitting on the porch. I will think of her each time I pass by. Diane Powell Merrill
My aunt Helena was truly a wonderful and blessed person. She loved everyone, especially her family and her nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. We will all miss her but know that she is with Jesus looking down on everyone and praying for us. Congratulations to aunt Helena. We will always miss you. Thanking Jesus for the time we had with her.
We knew Helena from our childhood experiences at Camp Hilltop years back, and our family has kept in contact with her throughout the years.
She was a wonderful person and will always be a fondly remembered part of our childhood.
Aunt Helena, words can't express how much we love and miss you. You have touched our hearts and our children's hearts. I am blessed to know we have a special guardian angel watching over us.
