I was so saddened to hear of Wayne's death. He is a wonderful man and one of my favorite people. Always cheerful, kind and so hard-working. I miss him already. My heart aches for his family's loss, but he is on the great adventure now, and how cool is that. My prayer will be with you all. He is a great man.
My heart goes out to your family. Please accept my deepest sympathies.
Dear Selph Family - I am writing this as the funeral service commences, yearning to be in attendance. I got up at 4:00 this morning to "be ready on time" yet unable to go. Matt and Becca are the only Selph's who know me, thus this message will likely not be meaningful to Wayne's family, but it's jumping out of my heart so I must send it!
I did have the privilege of meeting Wayne and Yara about nine years ago. I will ever cherish/never forget the quiet power of that event and the literal, distinct JOY of being in their home with Matt and Becca. Happiness, love, peace and a comfortable welcome permeated. I've reflected often on the reverent awe I felt being in their presence.
May those feelings prevail as you meet together today and as you go forward throughout your tomorrows. May the warmth and wonder of Wayne remain in your memory, hearts, and homes. To his beloved eternal companion, Yara; his privileged children, Morgan, Theran, Ethan, Matt, McKay, Diania, Christina; and his cherished GRANDchildren; and all other relatives and forever friends: God bless you with a special nearness to him and to each other!
Many prayers have ascended in your behalf over the past month and will continue as you make the transitions, adjustments and choices that lie ahead.
Dearest Yara and family, We are thinking of you. We love you and your family. Wayne was a wonderful man. What a beautiful posterity. Rob and Julie Briggs
Dear Yara and all of Wayne's loved ones, I am one of Wayne's high school classmates. So many of us over the past few weeks, have all had our Wayne memories to tell. Most of us remember him running down the football field and scoring a touchdown. It was WONDERFUL!!He was the kindest friend and loved by all who knew him. We all share your loss. His wonderful smiling picture shows how much he loved life. Bless all of his precious children and very precious grandchildren. Please let them know how very much he was loved.
