James Robert "Bob" Burnett
I am so sorry to see Bob passed away in the Tulane Medical magazine. He was a good friend, Phi Chi, and classmate to me.

Tulane Medicine '79
My wife Rita and I first met Bob and Scottie on a vacation in France. We thought we had met two of the most wonderful people in the world. Bob was intelligent, full of curiosity, and as good a listener as a conversationalist. Both were filled with life and humor. We'll never forget Scottie kidding us about all the "Razorbacks" in the Louvre (we are LSU Tiger fans, the original Louvre residents were avid wild boar hunters, and Scottie was very supportive of son Jim's attendance at Arkansas). Scottie, we are crying huge tears of grief with you. But you have given the world so much in your children, and who you are. You will have to do it without your "precious Bob", but you have so much more to give. And we will never forget Bob, who made such a deep impression on us in such a short time. Love, your friends Rita and Claude Culross
What a wonderful physician and man Bob was! He will be sorely missed.
Thank you for allowing us to share your pain, with the very moving slide show. May God comfort you, Jim, & Kelly.
My deepest sympathies.
Marilyn Phy Barron
Our hearts and prayers are with you, Scottie, and your precious children.
