Here is a link to Kirk's blog. It demonstrates what a beautiful mind he had. We were all so lucky to have known him. http://what-rough-beast.blogspot.com/2014/04/d-wave-upends-logical-positivism.html
Nathan, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. Prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
I too worked with and always admired Kirk. He was a nice man and very bright. I am stunned to hear of his passing.
Kirk was a good friend and an amazing person. I was fortunate to know him and will miss him. My thoughts and sympathies go to his family.
Just 3 weeks back, I was informed that Kirk was celebrating his 2nd anniversary at Freescale. So, I was planning to call and re-connect with him. But a week or so later, I heard the tragic news that left me in shock.
Kirk was a peer of mine when we both worked at Motorola Semiconductor. He was a wonderful man with a gentle soul,.... he was very bright and knowledgeable, he was patient with peers and team members, he had an infectious sense of humor, with not a hint of arrogance,... and best of all, he was trustworthy. Memories of my work experiences with him are among the most positive recollections from my stint at Motorola.
A very good man has passed away and we are all the poorer for it. My condolences to all his loved ones and the many friends he has left behind.
