I worked for Lee at Oscar Mayer in Los Angeles for 5 or 6 years in the 60's and for L'eggs, also in the Los Angeles area. I stayed in touch with him for a few years after I left L'eggs. Always enjoyed hearing from him. Rest in peace Lee. John L. Miller (Jon). Ventura,Ca

My heart just broke when I saw that Lee had passed. He was a great man in so many ways. I so admired his work-ethic & his zeal for living. Thank-you Lee for the way you loved people & most of all your family. Thank-you for your wisdom during the time God brought you & Sally into our lives. My life was better for having known you.

I am so saddened to learn of Lee's passing. Rick called to tell me. I could never express my gratitude to Lee for all the opportunities he afforded me in teaching, mentoring, and guiding me to raise my goals in the apparel industry. I have always told people in the industry, that Lee Klinetobe gave me the most fantastic opportunity one could ask for. I would like to add a little humor in that he also was one of the best gamblers I have ever known, both on and off the golf course. We were standing in the Empire State Building and Lee bet me, and several Hanes distributors what elevator would be next...lo and behold, he picked the right one?..afterward gave me back my bet as he had observed and known just how the elevators were running. I know you will miss him, and I too. From California, to Overland Park, to Winston Salem...to Boston, to Chicago, he was always, always urging me to grow. Many, many, fond memories. He will be missed.

To Sally and the family - I was saddened to learn of Lee's passing. It was my pleasure to serve with him on the IRMC Board of Directors in the late 1990s and we were both honored to serve as Chairman of the institution. I think we had a mutual respect for one another. We also had something else in common - being EMs at our church, Lee at Holy Cross and myself at St. Helen. I will always have fond memories of our times together. My prayers are for Lee and you and the entire family.
