I always enjoyed my little chats with Mike. Before he would head off to the art room to work with Dave Zosel he would stop in my office and we would visit for awhile. I loved to hear his stories about his pets and life's adventures. One year over winter break, even though he was on vacation, and had company he came to my rescue when I was trying to post a payroll and was caught between the current year and new year in the system. When I went to Europe/Greece last spring I thought of Mike. I remember him telling me about when they got to Greece that he asked his mom what that smell was, and he didn't like it, it made me chuckle. My heart goes out to Mike's family, friends, and his much loved pets. I have missed our little chats and am deeply saddened by his passing.

Mike was one of the most brilliant guys I knew. He was witty and dealt with us less technologically savvy people with a sense of humor and grace. Our students loved when Mike first started to come to Solon Springs High School and work out of the art room, and they grew more fond of him as time progressed. His progressive thoughts and calm, quiet nature will be sadly missed all of us. My sympathies go out to all who knew him.
So sad to hear of Mike's passing. He was a great guy. Every time he would come to the Solon School he would visit our Special education classroom. He even taught lessons from time to time. The students loved when he came and so did I. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
