My Dad was DC Bill Burke, Commander, 6th Div. (brother Cpt. Billy Burke, E-21; 9/11). Parents also of St. Jerome's. Growing up "Mickey" Maye was a legend in our house. Condolonces to the family and friends. Read somewhere about a service in NYC. Did that happen? Any info? Deepest sympathies and congratulations on a life lived well.
A man amongst men.. South Bronx boy from St. Jeromes parish who followed his dream. He knew where he was going but never forgot where he came from..I was lucky to have known him. Many happy memories of him and my brothers.
Sincere sympathy to his family.
