Dear Cheryl:
I am so sorry and sad to recently hear of Mike's passing. I worked with Mike in the Warwick Post Office for many years, and he was one of the funniest guys I have ever worked with. He was kindhearted and extremely funny! He went on one inspection with me, while I was delivering mail in Warwick, and I had a difficult dog that was on a porch and very aggressive. Naturally, the owner of the dog said her dog was not dangerous when she saw Mike, my supervisor at the time, and Mike merely said, "They all say that - and now I have a wooden leg." He pivoted, and limped away - facing me with a huge smile on his face as the lady said, "Oh, I'm so sorry...I had no idea." I could barely contain my laughter to the corner of her short street before I burst out laughing! Mike often made me laugh with his antics, but what I also really admired about him was his strong work ethic and his devotion to his family. I will always have a special place in my heart for Mike because he really was a wonderful, funny, generous and hard-working family man. Please accept my deepest sympathy in this very sad time in your life. With Deepest Sympathy, Genevieve Spaziano Scott
